Three weeks in Sulawesi in April/May 2023. Starting from Makassar, via Jakarta, and 1 night in the FM7 Hotel, where we were greeted by our guide Johan. Who expertly steered us to Rantepao, very late in the evening. Then came 2 full days in Torajaland where several funerals were going on. On day 4 we drove back to Makassar to visit the perfectly preserved Dutch Fort Rotterdam and the soaring Swiss-Belhotel next door. A flight to Manado and a night drive and night crossing followed to Siladens Kuda Laut Resort for nine days. Topped by 4 days Minahasa at the end. in our trusted Gardenia. Then back to Amsterdam!
